An employee at Butler Truax Jewelers was arrested Friday and charged with theft.
According to report from the Selma Police Department, the employee, Daniel Mielke, was involved in taking in excess of $2,500 from the store.
Mielke is alleged that during repairs of items, he would order repair parts through the company. Once the items were delivered, he would reportedly take the items home and repair them.
The charge claims he would keep the money for the repaired items and did not reimburse Butler Truax for the parts or any money collected on behalf of the company.
Mielke has been charged with first-degree theft and placed in the Dallas County Jail under $150,000 bond.
