According to John Treherne, an investigator with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, 31-year-old Victor Milhouse has been charged with second-degree rape and school employee engaging in sex with a student under 19-years-old, which are both Class B felonies.

Treherne said the sheriff’s office found out about the case Thursday. Authorities said the girl found out she was pregnant, and her mother reported it.

“They reported it to the city initially because they thought it had occurred inside the city limits,” Treherne said. “Once they determined it possibly happened outside the city limits in the county jurisdiction, we got the case.”

Milhouse is a custodian at Southside High School and has been a Dallas County Schools employee for three years, according to Dallas County Schools Superintendent Don Willingham.

Treherne said the incident did not occur on school property and happened on a weekend.

“We took a statement from her, and she gave me the guy’s name,” Treherne said. “We contacted him, and he came up here this morning [Tuesday]. In a statement he admitted to having sexual intercourse with her.”

After admitting to having sexual relations with the 15-year-old student, Milhouse was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail. He is currently being held without bond.

Willingham said Milhouse was put on paid leave Thursday after he found out about the investigation.

“We talked to him last Thursday and placed him on paid leave status while we did our investigation and follow up on some of the things that were being said,” Willingham said. “We talked with the Children’s Advocacy Center and the sheriff’s department during that time, and of course we restricted him from any contact with the school or students at all.”

Willingham said the Dallas County School Board is scheduled to meet Thursday night, and he is going to recommend terminating Milhouse from his job with the school system.
