A 19-year-old Dallas County man was shot and killed Friday morning near the intersection of County Road 67 and Industrial Drive.

Dallas County Coroner Alan Dailey and District Attorney Michael Jackson identified the 19-year-old as Rufus Williams Jr.

Dailey said the shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the homicide, but has not released any details on the case. This is the first murder of 2017 in the sheriff’s department’s jurisdiction.
