Vernon Dale Cranmore Jr.

Dale Cranmore, age 64, a life-long resident of Selma before retiring and moving to Daphne three years ago, died at his home on Nov. 29 after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Smith; and sister, Joyce Rainer.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Cranmore; son, Jamie (Kelli) Cranmore; and his grandson, the love of his life, Parker Cranmore; and also his little sidekick, Maddie. He is also survived by his father, Vernon (Florence) Cranmore of Selma; sisters, Faye (Earl) Pike of Foley and Kaye (Farooq) Qureshi of Cheraw, South Carolina; sister in law: Janice (David) Scott and Teresa (Tommy) Gaylor of Selma, Barbara (Rick) Blackerby of Millbrook; brother in law: Terry (Jane) Willis of Rochelle, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved camping with his wife and hunting and fishing with his son and grandson. Most of all, he loved being involved with his grandson’s sports.
Dale worked at Bush Hog for 30-plus years and retired from Tek Pak in Marion.
Funeral arrangements are Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Peacock, Ronnie Edwards, Dana Hollis, Gary Lewellen, Dale Duke, and Mike Canada.
