Mary Flo Fraley

Mary Flo Fraley, 90, of Wesley Manor Retirement Home, died Monday, May 27, 2002.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at New Live Oak Cemetery, Selma with the Rev. Arthur Carlton officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a devoted caregiver, Martha Nell Pybus of Dothan and numerous students and friends who will continue to be grateful for her influence on their lives. Other close friends include Mabel and Rev. Arthur Carlton of Marion.

Miss Fraley was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Fraley of Marion Junction..

Family visitations are from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Byrd Funeral Home.

Miss Fraley was born October 26, 1911, in Virginia and moved to Marion Junction, at an early age. She was a 1928 graduate of Marion Junction High School. In 1932, she graduated from Alabama College, now (University of Montevallo) and also served as class president. She was named on the Honor Roll for all four years of her college training.

In 1940, she moved to Dothan and taught at Dothan High School until her retirement in 1973.

Malachi C. Green

Malachi C. Green, 49, of Dallas County, died Wednesday, May 20. 2002 at a veteran hospital in Tuskegee.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 27, with the Rev. Terrance Gaines officiating, at Providence M.B. Church, Kingsbend Rd.

Survivors include one brother, Henry (Cynthia) Eason Jr. of Highland, Calif.; nine nephews; eight nieces; aunts, Margaret (Donald) Hall of Detroit, Mich,, Roberta Green of Cleveland, Ohio and Deloris Green of Mobile. Survivors include other relatives and friends, special cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Green and a sister., Henrietta Eason.

Mr. Green was born on Nov. 2, 1952. He joined the United States Armed Forces on July 7, 1970 and was honorably discharged on Feb. 2, 1975.
