The Selma Quarterback Club is gearing up for its 2002 season, and according to tradition, they have an exciting schedule planned.
For years, the Quarterback Club has been bringing big names in sports to Selma to address an audience over dinner.
This year’s program includes coaches and affiliates of many sports programs. On August 20, the Quarterback Club will host its Kickoff BBQ. The speakers scheduled for that evening are Tom Roberts, executive producer of the Crimson Tide Sports Network, and Stan White, former Auburn quarterback and color commentator for the AU Football Network. The speaking duo will start off the 2002 season, and the rest of the speaking schedule is as follows:
An early incentive membership program is available to those who join or renew their membership in the Quarterback Club before July 31. The cost of membership is $160, which includes nine programs with dinner and one free guest ticket that can be used at any meeting except for Tubberville or Francione.
The self-expressed primary goal of the Selma Quarterback Club is to raise funds to support the scholarship foundation that provides three scholarships annually to student athletes in the area.
Any membership application forms or checks should be sent to the Selma Quarterback Club c/o Forrest Hatfield, P.O. Box 799 Selma, AL 36702-0799.
