Selma’s Bob Kelley was named district governor of Rotary District 6880 Monday.
Kelley is only the fifth Selma Rotarian to lead the district that includes 46 clubs in areas like Demopolis, Linden, York, Auburn, Troy, Montgomery, Prattville, Dothan, Enterprise and Mobile.
Kelley’s tenure as district governor will last a year. Kelley joined the Selma club 10 years ago, looking to meet people, help people, and learn more about the community.
Kelley is the owner of the Tally Ho restaurant. Kelley’s appointment was made during the club’s weekly meeting. Kelley’s family attended and his daughter, Renee, received a Paul Harris award. Renee is a junior at Morgan Academy and is active in Rotary programs.
Kelley joins Truman McGill, Morgan Richards, J.H. Lee, and Paul Grist as former Selma members who have lead the district.
