picked up 70 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the first quarter, while Chris K. Poe had an eight yard pass for a touchdown.

The powerful running attack, said head coach John Niblett, came from an outstanding performance on the offensive line.

Simuel Walker rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns in the game also, proving that Central Christian dominated the offensive line all night.

Defense was also a huge factor in the ball game. Ashford, down by three touchdowns early in the game, went to an aerial attack. They only managed to complete three passes all night.

The visiting Falcons never got comfortable in the pocket with the amount of pressure that Central Christian applied, forcing them to throw two interceptions.

The easy Warrior win gave Niblett’s team more than just

a good start.

Central Christian takes on Abbeville next Friday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Abbeville.
