Mal Moore took the podium Tuesday at the Selma Quarterback Club and fondly recalled the many times he heard Coach Paul &uot;Bear&uot; Bryant talk about Selma.

It didn’t take long before UA’s sanctions and the pending appeal was the topic of the evening though.

Moore said the appeal was a no-lose proposition.

Moore used Tuesday’s speech to plug many of the accomplishments on the Tuscaloosa campus.

Moore also said UA’s academic excellence has brought him pride over the past few years.
