CCA takes STJ AISA Team of the Year honors

The Central Christian Warriors are the Selma Times Journal AISA team of the year. The Warrior were coached by Dr. John Niblett (head Coach), and assistant coach Dayton Dawkins. They finished the season at 10-2, and advanced to the semi-final round of the AISA playoffs.
Their offensive numbers for the year are impressive at 2,295 yards rushing for the year, and 1,287 yards passing.
Leading the way on offense for the year for the Warriors were. Jarvaris Burden with 1,161 yards rushing on 156 attempts, and 18 touchdowns. Simuel Walker had
498 yards rushing on 80 attempts and three touchdowns. C.K. Poe passed for 1271 yards, and six touchdowns. On the receiving end C.A. Poe led the way with 889 yards receiving, and 16 touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball the Warriors were led by Jamie Parker with 87 solo tackles, 40 assist, one interception, and three sacks. Jay Hale had 56 solo tackles, 16 assist, and two interceptions. C.A. Poe led the team in interceptions with 12.
