Mary Woods
Mary Woods of Uniontown, 101, died on Friday, June 11 at a local hospital.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 19 at Mt. Calvary M.P. Church Uniontown, AL with Rev. Billy Woods officiating and Julia White Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery of Uniontown.
Frances A. Kaldor
Frances A. “Tootsie” Kaldor, of Selma, 63, died Wednesday, June 16 at home.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 3 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allan Yarbrough officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 18 at Selma Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kaldor, a dedicated wife and mother for 46 years, is survived by her husband, Arlen O. Kaldor; three sons, Tony Ray (Diane) Kaldor, Rickey Arlen (Rozanne) Kaldor, Timothy James (Nita) Kaldor and Roy Odin (April) Kaldor; one daughter, Ann Marie (Ken) Caver; eleven grandchildren, Tonya Kaldor, Katherine Kaldor, Tony (Delta) Phillips, Angie (Frank) Landers, Suzanne (Jeffrey) Waites, Misty (Randy) Green, Chris Kaldor, Kayla Kaldor, Tiffany Kaldor, Eric Caver and Jessica Caver; ten grandchildren, Nikky Cook, Teresa Cook, Robert Cook, Barbara Ann Cook, Alex Waites, Jeffrey Waites, Mason Dick, Caitlyn Langston and Cierra Green; three sisters, Marilyn (Dave) Sebren, Barbara Jean (Charles) Moore and Sandra Faye White.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Sebren, David Sebren, Ralph Blackmon, Jeffrey Waites, Chris Kaldor and Bobbie Smith,
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Moore. Dave Sebren, Eric Caver and Raymond Bakke
Larry Mixon
Larry Mixon 52, of Centerville, AL died.
Services will be held on Friday, June 18 at Mt. Siaui AME Church in Centerville with Pastor Thornton officiating and Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery in Centerville.
Joe H. McClenney
Joe H. McClenney died.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 12 p.m. at Greenliberty Baptist Church in Marion with Rev. Jessie Brown officiating and Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Gloria P. Steele
Gloria P. Steele of Selma, 44, died on Wednesday, June 16 at a hospital in Birmingham.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Garden Cemetery.
Complete arrangements and survivors will be announced later.
Mildred E. Nichols Fancher
Mildred E. Nichols Fancher of Demopolis, 86, died on Saturday, June 12 at a hospital.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 9 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Home Marion Chapel with Rev. Bill Wallace officiating and Kirk Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one son, McArthur Bassett of Morgan City, LA; one brother,
R.V. Nichols of Marion; one sister, Gertrude Davis of Selma; two grandchildren, Patricia Bassett Ewing and John Kenton Bassett; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Ewing, Kathleen Ewing and Ethan Ewing.
Pallbearers will be J.C. Nichols, Robert Nichols, Richard Royster, Pete Royster, Fred Smith and Billy Smith.
Wilbert Sanders
Wilbert Sanders, 78 of Selma, died on Saturday, June 12.
Services will be held on Saturday, June19 at 12 noon at Tabernacle of Praise with Rev. Colvin officiating and Walker Mortuary directing. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include wife, Anna Sanders; three sons, Rev. Johnny (Teresa) Peterson of N.C; Wilbert Jr. (Shirley) of Birmingham and David of Selma; six daughters, Linda, Kennetta, Sytrema, Jawana all of Selma, Vicki Gates of Atlanta, GA and Anna Brandley of Birmingham; one sister, Pauline Sanders Oden; eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two daughter-in-laws; two sister-in-laws; host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be sons and grandson.
