Alabama State Troopers rescued a Mobile man Tuesday morning after he was trapped inside his wrecked car for two days.
Anthony Clark, 51, was traveling down Highway 41 Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle and it came to rest in a ditch.
According to a report by the Alabama State Troopers office, the incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. near the Wilcox County line.
Clark’s wrecked vehicle could not been seen from the road and his cries for help went unnoticed.
Sometime around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were notified of Clark’s whereabouts after he was discovered by two of his sisters, who had been searching for him since Sunday evening.
State trooper W. Mendenhall and an ambulance company arrived on the scene and were able to free the injured man from the wreckage.
Clark was later taken to the emergency room at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. His current medical condition has not yet been released.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing.
