Edward Newton Hagemann Sr.
Edward Newton Hagemann Sr., 72, of Selma, died Monday, August 16, 2004, at a local hospital.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Wyatt and the Rev. Sandy Simmons officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Hagemann of Selma; son, Buddy Hagemann of Selma; daughter, Cam Sabo and husband, Tom of Helena; grandchildren, Brianna Sabo, Laura Sabo, Trey Hagemann and Casey Hagemann; brother, Glenn Hagemann and wife June of Portland, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Hagemann, his daughter, Allison Hagemann and a brother, Earl Hagemann.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Hagemann operated the Pancake House restaurant for 39 years and was a longtime officer of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Johnnie Monroe Floyd
Johnnie Monroe Floyd, 78, of Selma, died Sunday, August 15, 2004, in Prattville.
Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 19, at Cambridge Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Waters officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Camille Lyons Floyd; daughters, Scottie (Thomas) Short of Prattville and Dottie (Mike) Robitaille of Alabaster; three grandchildren, Johnathon Barnes, Terri Marie Barnes and Connor Robitaille; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Terry Marie Floyd. Honorary pallbearers are James Carter, Dave Edwards, Vern Richardson, Lin Hicks, Thomas Short and Mike Robitaille. Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lawrence Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Wiregrass Hospice, or the American Lung Association.
