Youth football back in action this week

Quarterback Quintravis Johnson scored a pair of touchdowns and added a two-point conversion run to lead the Broncos to a 16-0 win over the Bears in Selma Parks and Recreation Department Youth Football at Memorial Stadium.
Johnson gave the Broncos the lead in the first quarter when he sprinted 30 yards for the touchdown. Johnson added a 3-yard run for the two-point conversion and an 8-0 Broncos’ lead.
After a scoreless second quarter, Johnson tallied his second touchdown of the game, this one on a 31-yard bolt, to extend the Broncos’ lead to14-0. Labarin Eaton added the two-point conversion to cap the scoring.
In other Youth Football action, halfback Mardrewis Williams scored two touchdowns as the Cowboys edged the Colts, 18-14.
Williams broke a scoreless tie in the second quarter when he broke loose for a 36-yard scoring scurry to give the Cowboys a 6-0 lead.
Colts’ quarterback Miario Oliver tied the game with a 1-yard run.
But Cowboys’ quarterback Tavarius Murray came back with an 81-yard run to break the tie at halftime, 12-6.
The Colts countered in the fourth quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run by Oliver and a 2-point conversion to split end Nathan Ellis to take a 14-12 lead.
But Williams put the Cowboys ahead for good on a 27-yard run for an 18-14 advantage.
