Lola Bell Lee
Lola Bell Lee, 89, of Valley Grande, died Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at a local nursing home.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Friday, November 5, at Pineview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Al Finch officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include 2 daughters; Sybil L. (James) Murphy and Pat White; two granddaughters; Mary Frances Bailey and Shirley (Charles) Arvey and three great-grandsons.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alva “Nunnie” Turnipseed, a brother, Alroy Turnipseed, two sons, David N. Lee and James W. Lee, Jr.; and a grandson, James E. Murphy, Jr.
Active pallbearers are Roy Davis Sunday School Class at Elkdale Baptist Church.
Claudia Bell Lewis
Claudia Bell Lewis, 75, of Selma, died Saturday, October 30, 2004, at a local hospital.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Potter Station with the Rev. Dan Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include four sons, Freddie (Gloria) Lewis of Warner Robbins, Ga., John Smith, Theodore Lewis and Tommie Lewis all of Selma; two daughters, Stella Lewis and Gracie (Rev. Eugene) Bennett all of Selma; two brothers, Percy Anderson of Detroit, Mich., and Willie (Eartha) Sanders of Selma; sisters, Dorothy Smiley of Detroit, Mich., Lora Robertson of Baltimore, Md., and Lela Flood of Birmingham; one uncle, Samuel Reeves; three daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; three brothers-in-law; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
William Nace Waldrup Jr.
William Nace Waldrup Jr., 79, of Tyler, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at a Tuscaloosa hospital.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday, November 5, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Darrel Diaz officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence-Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth N. (Kim) Waldrup; two granddaughters, Klaire Waldrup (Chris) Derish and Khloe’ Waldrup; one great-grandson, Dylan Derish; one sister, Ruth Waldrup Ellis; and adopted daughter and son Nancy and Robert Gaylor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Odom Waldrup, sister, Dorothy Waldrup White, mother, Zula Waldrup and father, William Nace Waldrup.
Family visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
