Raymond Bearden

Raymond Bearden, 74, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 in a Birmingham, AL hospital.

Graveside services are 10:00 am Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Ebeneezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Stanton, AL, with Elder Robert Baker and Elder Virgil Barnard officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Steve Bearden; one daughter, Lisa Dempsey; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Richard Bearden, Norman Bearden, and James Bearden; sisters, Frances Coon and Barbara Jean Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Mr. Bearden was born in Clanton and raised in Selma, He was an Eagle Scout, was retired from the U. S. Air Force Reserve with 33 years service. He was also retired from the US Postal Service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.

Mattie Belton

Mattie Belton, 51, of Forkland, died Sunday, November 28, 2004, at a Demopolis hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 9, at the Chapel of Larkin and Scott Funeral Home with the Rev. William M. Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Lloyd Chapel Cemetery with Larkin and Scott Funeral Home of Demopolis directing.
