Haley McIntyre scored 22 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as the Meadowview Christian Academy Lady Trojans beat the Wilcox Academy Lady Wildcats, 35-30,

in the final of the Escambia Academy New Year’s Classic on Monday.

The win lifts MCS to 8-4 on the season.

Elise McIntyre had six points

and two rebounds for the Lady Trojans, followed by Ashton Smith with four points and two rebounds, and Carol Ann McIntyre with three points and six rebounds.

Wilcox Academy was paced by Victoria Collins’ 10 points.

Meadowview Christian will be in the championship game tonight at 5 p.m. The Lady Trojans’ opponent was unknown as of presstime.
