Jean Godbold

Jean Godbold, 95, of Camden, died Saturday, January 15, 2005, at a nursing facility in Camden.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, at Camden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Camden City Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Clifford Godbold of Camden; daughter, Alice Godbold of Brewton; grandson, Matt Michaud of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter, Leslie Michaud of Gainesville, Fla.

Family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, at the church.

Donations may be made to The Methodist Children’s Home or The Alzheimer’s Association.

Maudine R. O’Neal

Maudine R. O’Neal, 86, of Plantersville, died Monday, January 17, 2005, at her home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, at Plantersville Christian Church in Plantersville, with the Rev. Barry Crowe and the Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Martin Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Bobby O’Neal of Stanton; daughter, Judy Conway of Wedowee; brother, Welch Roebuck of Maplesville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Earl O’Neal, father, Monroe Roebuck and mother Minnie Klinner Roebuck.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, at Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. O’Neal was born on Tuesday, December 24, 1918 in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Monroe and Minnie Roebuck.

Thomas Smitherman

Thomas Smitherman, 78, died Monday, January 17, 2005, at his home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home, with Rev. Calvin Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include five sons, Ronnie Smitherman, Tommy Smitherman, Henry Smitherman, Wayne Smitherman and Frank Smitherman; one daughter, Mary Latham; brothers, Charles C. Smitherman, James E. Smitherman, David M. Smitherman and Allen R. Smitherman; one sister, Doris S. Molina; grandchildren, Matthew, Paul, and Stephen Smitherman, Timothy and Ryan Smitherman, Paula Latham McWhorter, Tonya and Tommy Smitherman, Ben Smitherman, Victoria Lee, Jason Smitherman and Eric Smitherman; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Smitherman was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth C. Smitherman and his brother, William

A. Smitherman.

Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Family visitation will be 6-8 Wednesday, January 19, at Lawrence Funeral Home
