Letter wrong to cite skin color

To the editor,
In response to Mr. Keith’s letter in Sunday’s edition of the STJ. It was your open letter to the African-American community. I as an American found your letter to have closed views of the facts or as a local radio host says “the cold hard truth.” Who wrote and passed Roe vs. Wade?
The political leaders of that time were Americans not just African-American. Who maintains that law today so that it does not change, Americans not just African-Americans.
The numbers you stated in your letter are a small part of the total number of abortions that are done by other groups of people in the United States.
You should also check the numbers… abortions are on the decline.
Then look at the numbers on the crime issue.
What is the main cause of crime… that would be poverty. Who allows all the jobs etc. to relocate to other countries leaving the Americans jobless? That again would be Americans not just African-Americans. This is the same U.S. government that involves us in wars where
All Americans are losing their lives not just African-Americans. Maybe you should talk with your organization leaders because they are the ones that are creating these problems which in turn effects ALL American.
Your question on what would Dr. Martin Luther King say… If he were here today he would be ashamed as I am that we still judge by the color of one’s skin rather than the content of one’s character.
