Robert Clarence Jones
Robert Clarence Jones, 83, of Camden, AL, died Monday, September 5, 2005, at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005, at Camden Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Lee officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home of Greenville directing.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a daughter and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sheliah Jeffcoat Jones; two daughters, Martha L. Jones and Camilla J. Stuver (John); son, Robert Clarence Jones Jr. (Lynn); their mother, Camille Selsor Jones all of Camden, AL; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Bettie Hord of Dallas, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews; and a life-time friend, John L. Skinner of Montgomery, AL.
Mr. Jones is a past Master Mason of Dale Masonic Lodge #25 and 32 Degree Mason. He was raised in the Camden ARP (former elder) and later in life joined the Canton Bend United Methodist Church of Camden, AL.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, from 5-7 p.m. at Canton Bend’s United Methodist Church fellowship hall.

Henry Ross Clayton
Henry Ross Clayton, 56, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Demopolis, Alabama, passed Monday, August 29, 2005 at a Cleveland, Ohio hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Demopolis, AL with the Rev. James Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in Moscow Cemetery in Demopolis.
The body will repose at the church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Vinnie Jennings
Vinnie Jennings, 82, of Forkland, Alabama, passed Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at a Demopolis hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2005, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Forkland, Alabama. Rev. W. M. Branch, pastor, Rev. Richard White, eulogist. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Boligee, Alabama.
Family hour will be held Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The remains will repose at the church on Thursday, beginning at 12 noon.

Fredrick Douglas
Fredrick Douglas, 59, of Selma/Dallas County, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at his home.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2005, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Carroll Plourde officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include one brother, Jessie Douglas; six sisters Tynette (Emmete) Williams, Parilee Douglas Anderson, Frozenia Hines, Essie Weaver, Katie Douglas and Mary Acoff; four brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special friend, Lelia Underwood.
He was preceded in death by brothers, George Douglas, William Douglas and Al Douglas, sisters, Ann Douglas Williams and Guestavia Effinger.
Active pallbearers will be brothers and nephews.
Repast will be held in Queen of Peace Catholic Church (Blue Room) next door to the church, 309 Washington St., Selma.
