William Lawton LaPorte, 70, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family and special loved ones on Monday, October 17, 2005.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. John Davis officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Family visitation will be 6 pm-8 pm Tuesday, October 18 at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Mr. LaPorte owned and operated LaPorte T.V. Service for 51 years.
Mr. LaPorte is survived be his wife of 51 years, Annette Parker LaPorte; sons, Edward Lawton LaPorte and wife Jan LaPorte of Montgomery, Bryan Parker LaPorte and wife Estelle LaPorte of Valley, Al; daughters, Lynne LaPorte Day and Husband Brooks Day of Selma, Cindy LaPorte and Husband Nick Nichols of Tallassee; brother, James Edward LaPorte of Austin, TX; sister, Barbara Manis of Layton, Utah; Grandchildren, Wesley Jones of Atlanta, GA., Amanda Curran of Opelika, Al., Lacey LaPorte of Montgomery, Al., Sara LaPorte of Montgomery, Al., Lauren LaPorte of Auburn, Al., Adriene LaPorte of Auburn, Al., William LaPorte Nichols of Tallassee, Al., Christy Hammerle of Summerdale, Al., Rhonda Clark of Navarre, Fl., Stanley Day of Orange Beach, Corey McDonald of Valley, Al, Toby McDonald of Valley, Al.; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tiger Jones, Rocky Mims, Scott Hammerle, Tommy Colburn, Stanley Day and Jeff Rowland.
Donations may be made to the Cahaba Hospice or the American Caner Society.
