Two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, were arrested and charged with third degree burglary in connection with locks being removed from an apartment at Minnie B. Anderson (MBA) Homes Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the Selma Police Department, officers were dispatched to MBA homes at approximately 8:30 a.m. after receiving a call.
Both suspects were taken into custody.
Prior to the arrest, one of the suspects was spotted running between buildings. The other suspect was located on the west side of the MBA complex.
While one suspect was released into the custody of his parents, the other was transported to the Hale County Detention Center.
Selma Police Chief Jimmy Martin said Wednesday there could be additional charges pending against the two youth offenders, citing the investigation is ongoing.
