Carl E. Boyd
Carl E. Boyd, age 54, of Sardis, AL died on October 14, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at East Salem Baptist Church with Rev. W.I. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Services directing.
Survivors include: his parents, Mrs. Minnie B. Griffin and Charlie Griffin, Sr.; ten brothers, Charlie Griffin, Jr., Anthony Boyd, James Griffin, Adolph Griffin, Lee Griffin, Clarence Griffin, Henry Griffin, Lorenzo Griffin, Peter Griffin and Otis Boyd; eight sisters, Shelly Mahand, Lonetta Towns, Bettie Lawrence, Mary Lawrence, Quinder Stanford, Margaret Washington, Mary Boyd and Juanita Arnold; five brothers-in-laws, five sisters-in-law, aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.
Brothers and friends will serve as pallbearers.

James A. Foster, age 36, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Selma, AL, died on October 14, 2006 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Beloved Apostolic Church with Pastor Jerry Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Services directing.
Survivors include: spouse, Amanda Foster; parents, James and Lillie Foster; one son, James A. Foster, Jr.; one daughter, Ashia Lashawntey Foster; two brothers, Marvin Wayne Foster and Justin Marquel Foster; a twin sister, Janet Denise Foster; mother-in-laws, Evelyn Johnson and Teresa Jones; niece, Myeisha Foster; nephew, Vincent Brown; four uncles, John, Jerry, Calvin and Leon Givan; three aunts, Malinda Smith, Lorna Barker and Rosie Harie Davis; god-daughter, Jasmye Dreher and a host of cousins and friends.
Mrs. Lucille Howard
Mrs. Lucille Howard, age 96, of Selma, AL died on October 11, 2006 at Vaughan Regional. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Brown Chapel with Rev. Joann Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Home Aid Cemetery with Miller Funeral Services directing.
Survivors include: two sisters, Gayell Cruiel of Camden, AL and Sadie Bell Kennedy of Geneva, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Lucy P. McGrue
Lucy P. McGrue, 80, of Selma passed Oct. 19, 2006 at a Montgomery healthcare facility. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 at 11am from Brown Chapel AME Church. Burial in Fairlawn Memory Gardens with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.
Fannie Tyus
Fannie Tyus, age 72, of Sardis, AL died on October 18, 2006 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. John Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include: four sons, Joe, A.C., Louis and Robert Tyus; two daughter, Rosie Small and Myrline Barnes; one sister, Inez Hudson; and host of other relative and friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation from 6 – 8 pm, Friday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
Clara Mosley Walker
Clara Mosley Walker a native of Selma, Alabama, the daughter of the late Rev. & Mrs. Andrew M. Mosley, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2006 in Kernersville, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 1548 LeGrande Street, Selma, AL.

She was a Dudley Hair Products Representative before moving to Kernersville, N.C.
