Ms. Ida Roller
Ms. Ida Roller, age 83, of Selma, Ala. died on January 11, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at New St. John Baptist Church with Rev. Eugene Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.
Survivors include: two sons, William (Earline) Roller and Frank (Debra) Roller; five daughters, Ida (George) Dower, Lillie (Anderson) Smith, Maxine (Joseph) McQueen, Dorothy Smith, and Martha (Chester) Purifoy; fifty grandchildren, seventy-four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Edna Pearl Bivins Buchanan
Edna Buchanan, age 66, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007 at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Buchanan is survived by her sons, William Ralph (Patricia) Osburn, Joseph James Osburn, and Tommy Brunson; daughter, Debbie Bedwell; six grandchildren; step-son, Charles Buchanan, Jr.; step-daughter, Belinda Moran; sisters, Roberta Cofer, Ruth Cross and Kathline Brown; and one brother, Roy Bivins.
Eric Dysart
Eric Dysart, age 33, of Selma, Ala. died on January 18, 2007 at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be announced later by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.
John T. Harris
John T. Harris, age 54, of Selma, Ala. died on January 12, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Miller’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Allen Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.
Survivors include: spouse, Estelle Harris; mother, Annie Grace Resse; two sons, Ollie Young, Jr. and John T. Harris, Jr.; three daughters, Diane Lewis, Loretta Moppins, and Wanda Young; five sisters, Ruby Thomas, Annie Jean, Wilson Smart, Barbara Ann and Brenda Smart; fourteen grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, six brothers-in-laws, two sisters-in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Pearlie M. Beasley, 84, passed January 12, 2007 at a Boston hospital.
Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Shiloh P. B. Church, Marion Junction. Burial in the churchyard cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.
Laura Mae Williams
Laura Mae Williams, age 86, of Selma, Alabama died on January 12, 2007 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at New Shiloh Baptist Church in Sardis, Alabama with Rev. Stevenson Tullis officiating. Burial will follow in New Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.
The body will lie in state from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to services.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lucy Ann Maul and Diann (Donald) McMillian; four grandchildren, Jerome Maul, Pamela Maul, Erica McMillian and Emily McMillian; three great grandchildren, Alexia Moore, Ginae’ Maul and Jeremiah McMillian; one sister-in-law, Charlie Lee Tipton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of Providence Baptist Church.

Mattie M. Moore, 64, of Selma passed January 11, 2007.
Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Good Hope Baptist Church. Elder James Price officiating. Burial in the churchyard cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Minnie Grayson
Ms. Minnie Grayson, age 74, of Selma, Ala. died on January 16, 2007 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive #2 with Rev. D. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.
Survivors include: three sons, Alfred Grayson, Charles E. Grayson and John F. Grayson; two daughters, Mary E. Boyd and Queen E. Grayson; one sister, Minnie W. Williams; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one son-in-law, three daughters-in-laws, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, a special great grandchildren, Jamarrious Brown and Ken Grayson.
Mr. Robert T. Watkins
Mr. Robert T. Watkins, age 71, of Selma, Ala. died on January 14, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Plain Truth Holiness Church with Elder James Bailey, III officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Miller Funeral Service directing.
Survivors include: spouse, Mrs. Susie P. Watkins; five sons, six daughters, one sister, twenty grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, five brothers-in-laws, one sister-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Annie Bell Watkins, and one son.
Pallbearers will be nephews.

Survivors include: two sons, Theodore Glover and Mickey Sanders; three daughters, Patricia Caldwell, Maryann Sanders and Jameria Brown; three brothers, Jesse Bender of Birmingham, Luzell Sanders of Montgomery, and Johnny Smiley of Selma; five sisters, Leslie Hill, Beulah Lacy, Annie Young, Shirley Steele, and Cora Wilson; nine grandchildren, one son-in-law, five daughters-in-laws, one sister-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.
