Bobcats beat Indians in road contest

A big first quarter sprung the R.C. Hatch Bobcats toward a win Friday.
Rodney Scott and Frankie Sullivan combined to score nearly 40 points, and the Bobcats (15-1) beat Southern Choctaw 67-54.
Hatch held a 22-9 advantage after the opening quarter of play, but had to overcome a rally from the Indians late in the game.
Southern Choctaw pulled to within five points after the third quarter. Hatch then outscored the Indians 17-9 over the final eight minutes.
Sullivan led the Bobcats with 20 points, and Scott scored 19. Demarcus Porter scored 12 points and Nicholas Johnson scored six.
