On the campaign trail in the South

The issue: The presidential primaries have ventured into the South.
Our position: We&8217;re watching candidates on both sides do battle without much said.
Presidential politics mimic small city politics more and more.
Most recently, cries of racism and violation of church and state have surfaced from candidates seeking the nomination of the Democrats or the Republicans.
Interesting how much like magicians office seekers become while on the campaign trial. They flap wings and crow or peck at one another.
All the time, the issues lay by the wayside like so many molted feathers.
