The Keith High Lady Bears had little problem with the undermanned Autaugaville Lady Eagles.

Keith walked away with an easy 70-36 win. It was cruise control the entire night for the seventh-ranked Lady Bears. They posted a 17-7 regular season as they prepare to play host to next week’s area tournament.

Keith opened with a 17-0 run as the Lady Eagles, who dressed only six players, managed their first points with a little more than a minute left in the first quarter.

The first quarter ended with the score 21-4.

The Lady Bears led by 19 after two quarters and by 28 after three quarters of play.

Alexis Young led Keith with 17 points. Seniors Traci Rayford and Shauntay Gooden scored 14 and 11 points, respectfully.

The Eagles’ Carmen Gardner took scoring honors for the game with 18 points.
