The Meadowview Christian girls ended their season with a strong win on the road Tuesday night.

The Trojans (20-4) turned what was a close game into a one-sided affair with a 53-37 win over Kingwood.

Carol Ann McIntyre led Meadowview with 15 points and six rebounds.

The Trojans led by 11 at halftime then held the Lions – the defending AISA Class 2A state champions – to eight points in the third quarter. Meadowview led 43-22 after the period.

Kingwood’s Sirena Bourassa led all scorers with 23 points.

Deavan Aultman scored nine points and had 12 rebounds for Meadowview. Kayla Kaldor had eight points and five rebounds, and Katherine Kaldor had seven points and six rebounds.

Meadowview begins play in the area tournament Thursday against Lowndes Academy in Lowndesboro.
