Anthony Daniels, who authorities have identified as one of the St. Phillips Boys, received a 20-year prison sentence Thursday for assault and robbery.
Dallas County Circuit Court Judge Tommy Jones handed down the sentence.
Daniels was judge guilty of the January 2005 assault and robbery of Willie Soles. Authorities said Soles was walking on St. Phillips Street when Daniels struck him in the face after Soles refused to purchase drugs. Daniels took $30 from Soles’ wallet, according to court records.
“We are going to keep letting these gang bangers know that Selma is not the wild, wild West,” said Michael Jackson, the district attorney.
