Edward Stokes, 62, of Marion died

Monday, March 17, 2008 at UAB.

Services at Marion Baptist AC are scheduled for 1P.M., Tuesday, March 25 with the Rev. Fairest Cureton officiating. Burial will follow in Heard Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Home.

Survivors include wife, Evelyn Green; parents, Rev. Lewis Stokes and Bernice Stokes; Brother, Rodney Stokes; Three Sisters, Marca Purnell, Elizabeth Taylor, and Debra Stokes; uncles, Dr. Nathaniel Stokes and Walter Stokes; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers will be Preston Green, Charles Wilson, J.C. Jones, Henry Harris, Hosea Rutledge, and John Lewis.
