Todd announces candidacy for commission District 1

Hunter Todd has announced he is a Democratic candidate for the Dallas County Commission District 1.
Todd, 60, was born in District 1 and resides there.
This is his first time running for public office.
He is a 1965 graduate of Tipton High School. He holds a bachelor&8217;s in psychology from Knoxville College and a master&8217;s from Wayne State University. He studied education administration at the University of Michigan under its doctorate program.
Todd is a substitute teacher in the Selma City School System.
He is a former educator in the Michigan school system and a former chaplain.
Todd says he is committed to improving road conditions, education and the quality of life in District 1.
Todd is unmarried and is the father of 18-year-old Samantha who lives in Michigan.
Democratic incumbent Connell Towns has also announced his candidacy for District 1.
