Eric Jackson enjoys teaching the game of football, he just thought he’d go about it a different way.
The third annual Rehab Associates Youth Football Camp will have the same emphasis on skills as it always has.
The main difference will be the types of players invited.
“I want to target some of these kids so they can learn some stuff before they get to high school,” said Jackson, director of Rehab Associates. “In previous years, we’ve done it for guys 13 and up. I want to target these guys and help expand their knowledge.”
The May 10 camp will be for players ages 6 to 12 and is open to players in Dallas, Perry and Wilcox Counties. Instructors will give tutorials on tackling, footwork, passing and running skills and more. The camp will be held at Memorial Stadium, and in the event of bad weather, will be at the Selma High gym.
“I even welcome youth football coaches to come out,” Jackson said.
