at a Lowndes County nursing home.

Anna Marie Yates

Anna Marie Yates, age 87, of Selma died Saturday May 24, 2008 at home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 27, 2008 at Carlowville Baptist Cemetery officiated by Rev. Micah Gandy and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Yates is survived by her sons, Stanford (Debbie) Yates of Montgomery and Freddie (Judy) Yates of Selma, grandchildren, Brandon (Marianne) Yates, Suzanna Yates, Daniel Yates, all of Montgomery and Kendall Yates of Selma, sister, Margaret Madson of Jacksonville, FL, and a loving friend and caregiver, Lavada Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Yates, parents, John A Winters and Eugenia Mallo Winters, brothers and sisters, Mabel McLean, John A Winters, Jr., Francis Winters, Lucille Winters, Peter Winters, Mary Ruth Dugas, Eugene Winters, Vic Winters, Jack Winters, Agnes Costlow, Phillip Winters, Dan Winters, Sam Winters, Theresa Winters, and Paul Winters.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews and grandsons, Brandon Yates, Daniel Yates, Tom Winters, John L Winters, Phillip Winters, Sam Winters, John S Winters, and Charlie Casey. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Cahaba Hospice or Carlowville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
