Selma police officers have moved into the area of Plant and Annie Cooper streets Wednesday afternoon after what they dubbed “gang activity.”

Authorities said five individuals were arrested and placed in a transport van on Annie Cooper.

No shooting occurred, said officers, but at least one individual hit another with a weapon. That suspect ran inside a house in the area. Police officers are attempting to wait him out.
