Rev. Hercules Oneal Walker, 91, of Selma, died Thursday morning, Dec. 4, 2008 in the Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at Summer Grove Baptist Church, Twenty Foot Street with Rev. Will Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Garden with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.
He was a community servant who was concerned about all people who were ill regardless of denomination. The laborer’s work is over may he rest in peace.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, three sisters and two brothers.
Survivor includes a loving and devoted wife Marjesta Yelder Walker, four children, Otis Oneal (Marie) Walker, Richmond, VA, Gwendolyn Glover, Spring, Texas, Hercules (Dr. Sharon) Walker, Dallas, TX, Renee Demekeel (Danny), Spring, Texas.
