Abbie Sessions

Abbie Powe Sessions, a native of Branch, Choctaw County and a resident with her late husband of Hybart, Monroe County, died Sunday at an assisted living center in Mobile. She was 95. She was a homemaker and actively assisted her husband in his country store and farm equipment business. She was a member of the Camden United Methodist Church. Survivors include, one son, Senator Jeff Sessions; three grandchildren, Mary Abigail Sessions Reinhardt of Montgomery, Ruth Blackshear Sessions Walk of Virginia and Samuel Turner Sessions of Birmingham; one great grandchild, Jane Ritchie Reinhardt; her beloved sister, Mary P. Powe of Choctaw County; and nephew, Harry A. Powe. III., of Selma. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the Camden United Methodist Church, with the family receiving friends at 9:00 AM. Grave-side services will be held at 11:30 AM at the Bells Landing Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Tinela, Ala.
