Ned Griffin, Jr.

Ned Griffin, Jr. made his entrance on the stage of life January 29, 1962 in Birmingham, Alabama to Ned Griffin, Sr. and Bernice Griffin of Selma, Alabama. Ned was embraced by the angels of heaven on Sunday, December 27, 2009. At an early age, “Ned” gave his life to Christ. He became a soldier of God’s Army. In 2005, Ned joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the pastoralship of Pastor Elijah Collins, Jr.
Ned was educated at Southside High School in Selma, Alabama, graduating in the Class of 1980. After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, completing four years of active service. He was an outstanding serviceman who was honorably discharged. The flag draping his casket is given by a grateful nation for his meritorious service to his county in time of war.
