Elizabeth Petty Robitaille, 68, of Fairhope, Al, long time resident of Selma, Al died Monday at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with cancer.
Born in Selma on Oct. 24, 1941 to Henry and Elizabeth Petty. She grew up in Greenville and settled down in Selma where she married and had all her 5 children. She enjoyed time spent with her friends and family and loved nothing more than to entertain as many of them as possible in her home. She prized her long time membership and involvement in the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Selma where she brought up her family and made lifelong friendships. She worked for the Alabama Department of Human Resources starting at the Dallas County office in 1975 and retired from the Baldwin County office in 2004 after moving to Fairhope in 1997.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, her children Elizabeth Wilde (Field), John (Becky), Mike (Dottie), Chris (Jennifer), and Kenneth. She found joy in her grandchildren Amy, Bethany, Lauren, Christian, Emily, Elizabeth, Connor, and Anna Kathryn She is also survived by her sister Edie Henderson (Zollie) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 am. Saturday, January 9th at Queen of Peace church with visitation held from 6-8 pm. Friday January 8th at the funeral home.
