Morgan Academy went undefeated in a preseason tournament Saturday, while Meadowview Christian finished as the last seed in the six-team tournament.

The Senators faced Clarke Prep, who they defeated in last year’s state championship game, twice and won both times, the second of which was a come-from-behind win, the Senators’ second of the day.

“I’m very pleased with how they played,” Morgan coach Jennifer Moore said. “The team chemistry really clicked. They played as well as I’ve seen them play — ever.”

As defending champiosn, the Senators will host he Elite Eight tournament next week.
