Tiffany Lynn Ellis and Phillip Stephen Hammond were united in marriage on August 21st at 1:30 pm at the Bear Creek Lodge in Mountain Village, Colorado. Rev. Joseph S. Gardner of Alpharetta, Georgia performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Holland and Carolyn Powell of Selma, Alabama. The groom is the son of Kathy Hammond and the late W Hammond of New
Hampshire. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a stunning formal ivory gown with a beautifully and heavily beaded bodice of pearls and crystals with a full silk satin skirt and a lace full chapel train. She carried a large bouquet of red roses, blue thistle, and baby’s breath. The Maid of Honor was Wendy Glawischnig of Glenwood Springs, Colorado and bridesmaid was Mindy Stieber of Telluride, Colorado. The groom wore his family’s Gordon tartan kilt being of Scottish descent from the Gordon Clan. The Groomsmen were from Santa Fe, New Mexico and Telluride, Colorado. An outdoor reception followed the ceremony with local bluegrass music and guests dined on pheasant, quail, and deer meat harvested by Holland Powell and prepared by local executive chef, Erich Owen from the New Sheridan Hotel. The 3 tier wedding cake prepared by family friend Dora Russell of Telluride, Colorado notably had handmade white and yellow flowers with buttercream icing and was topped with a bride and groom in a kilt. The couple makes their home in Telluride, Colorado.
