John T. Morgan Academy won over Macon East  42-20.
“It was a great game and great effort,” said Brian King, Morgan’s head coach.
Crawford Traylor had eight tackles and Ethan Fancher had eight tackles. McCain Levins was seven for seven with the extra points.
Austin Anderson rushed 148 yards and scored one touchdown from 4 yards out; Parker Hughes rushed 146 yards and scored two touchdowns from 13 yards and 14 yards; Traylor rushed 77 yards and a scored a 15-yard touchdown and Austin Smitherman scored two touchdowns from 1 yard and 10 yards.
“They scored pretty much every time we had the ball,” King said. “After last week’s loss, I think the team dedicated themselves to a rushing game.”
Morgan had a total of 422 yards and 53 carries.
Next week Morgan will play Edgewood Academy at home.
