Lizzie Minter Houston, 99, a Selma resident entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2010.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Morton

Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by J. H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Houston and the dear mother of Eugene and Elizabeth, both deceased; cherished grandmother of Jean and Casmier, both deceased,

Survivors include grandchildren, James Jr. (Maureen) Ipswich, England; Elizabeth of Carmel, IN; Zandra, Nevette and Loell of Cleveland, OH: Regina of Bronx, NY; Reginald and Rocky of Selma, AL; thirteen great grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren; one nephew Tommy Lee Cook of Bronx, NY and two nieces Frances Harville and Jeanie Ward.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday morning from 10 a.m until time of the services.
