49 million turkeys will be raised in Minnesota this year. Minnesota tops the nation in turkey production. North Carolina is the next state with 31 million. In order, filling out the top six are Arkansas, 28 million, Missouri, 17.5 million, Indiana, 16 million and Virginia, 15.5 million.

735 million pounds of cranberries are forecasted for production this year. Wisconsin will likely lead all states with 435 million pounds.

1.9 billion pounds of sweet potatoes were produced in 2009. Leading sweet potato producers are North Carolina, California and Louisiana.

931 million pounds of pumpkins were produced in 2009. Illinois led the country by producing 429 million pounds of the vined orange gourd. Pumpkin patches in California and Ohio also provided many pumpkins: Each state produced at least 100 million pounds. The value of all pumpkins produced by major pumpkin-producing states was $103 million.
