Writer: Automated calls are harassment
Published 12:15 am Tuesday, November 2, 2010
Dear Editor:
I have been getting calls from a candidate who is running for office.
The computer message that he has saved and is sending out keeps telling me that all us black people should stand up and vote and stick it to the white people and stuff like that.
Well I am getting sick of it. I am a white voter and I am sick of it.
I called the Public Service Commission and they said y’all [The Times-Journal] might be able to do something.
I am sick of them harassing me and there is nothing I can do. Please help!
They call from (334) 590-4284. It is not right that they are calling people being racist and bring that to my house where there is no racist.
I have all the voicemails and I am sick of it. Please tell me what to do or help. It is wrong for him to do this to people.

Editor’s note: The Times-Journal attempted to call but received the following, automated message, “The person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time …”
