Thursday trash collections will be shuffled in observance of Veterans Day according to a release from the city of Selma Public Works Department.

The release states the city of Selma Public Works Department will be “closed Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. There will be no garbage or trash pickup on that day. The service will resume on Friday, Nov. 12, the day after the holiday.”

Monday garbage and trash service will resume to regular pickup days.

Several adjustments will also be made for the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be no garbage pickup on Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26. Service will resume Monday, Nov. 29 with a new schedule.

Thursday garbage from the previous week will be picked up Nov. 29 and Monday garbage will be picked up Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Tuesday garbage will be picked up Wednesday, Dec. 1 and Wednesday garbage will be picked up Thursday, Dec. 2.

Thursday garbage will be picked up on Friday, Dec. 3.

On Monday, Dec. 6 garbage and trash service will resume to its regular schedule.
