Man shot, man sought

A Sunday afternoon shooting has authorities still looking for answers.

According to Sgt. Doug Stewart of the Selma Police Department Sunday around 3 p.m. a 32-year-old male said he was in the Selmont area talking to a relative when an unknown male wearing all black and a mask came from behind the house, pointed a gun and began firing it at him.

The victim told authorities he was hit by the bullets and as he fell to the ground he saw the offender fleeing the area.

The victim received several gunshot wounds to his legs. Detectives are investigating the shooting in order to find out the reason it took place and to make an arrest for this crime.
