Judson welcomes new vice president

Judson College has a new member of its leadership team.
On Jan. 18, Judson College president David Potts announced the appointment of the colleges new Vice-President for Advancement, Terry Smith Morgan.
“We look forward to Dr. Morgan’s leadership in the advancement office,” Potts said. “She possesses very strong credentials and experience. Her application of these significant abilities in behalf of Judson will further the cause of Christian higher education, especially for women, to which she is deeply committed.”
In her new position, Morgan will direct the areas of financial development, alumnae relations and public relations for Judson.
“Judson College is a remarkable institution with a rich history, heritage and future,” Morgan said. “I’m honored to join the Judson family of faculty, staff and alumnae whose commitment is to prepare students for service and leadership.”
Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree from the Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., and a master’s degree in education and doctoral degree in education administration and foundations of education from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas.
She completed additional doctoral studies at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and the Regents College of Oxford University in England.
Morgan has worked in both education and business.
She worked as director of administration for the Polaris Computer Company in Hong Kong, director of marketing for the Buckner Retirement Community in Dallas and director of development of the Children’s Medical Center Foundation, also in Dallas and as a grant writer for the Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio.
Most recently she worked as a grant writer at Samford University before accepting her new position at Judson.
