“I am truly honored to be selected as Director of Security for House Speaker Mike Hubbard,” Tidwell said in a press release. “I will work hard every day to earn the trust and confidence the Speaker has placed in me. Not only am I committed to the protection of the Speaker, but will work with my colleagues to maintain a sense of professionalism and integrity in his office as well. I look forward to working closely with the Speaker’s staff and other House Members to move Alabama forward.”

Tidwell’s hiring came with a number of other hiring announcements by Hubbard who is preparing for the next session of the Alabama Legislature, set to begin March 1.

“I’ve always believed that in order to be successful, you must surround yourself with dedicated, intelligent and talented team members who will serve with integrity,” Hubbard said in the release. “That description fits this team perfectly. We are committed to being a legislative body that is productive, accountable and responsive to the people’s needs. I’m certain the individuals we have brought together in the Speaker’s office will help our 105 members do just that.”
