There is still time to reserve your spot for the Selma-Dallas County Library’s “Lunch at the Library” to be held Feb. 17 at noon.
This month’s guest, Mark Leslie, a chef and author, will promote his book, “Beyond the Pasta: Recipes, Language and Life with an Italian Family,” detailing his travels to Italy and his heart for family. Leslie, who is also a professional theatre production manager, travels all over the country.
“There’s a relevance and benefit of collectively sitting around a table to share a meal, a story and a part of yourself with family,” Leslie said. “The central theme of my book is helping people to create simply-prepared food with those you love, which is so Italian.”
Becky Nichols, director of the Selma-Dallas County Library, said she’s excited about the lunch, which normally draws more than 50 people.
The cost of the lunch is $8 and will begin from noon until 12:30 p.m. The program will start 12:30 until 1 p.m. Leslie’s book can be purchased for $30.
