After entering the final day of voting trailing by hundreds of votes, Petey, the dog owned by Jennifer Ford and her family, ended up winning the Times-Journal’s inaugural Pet Idol contest.

The proceeds from this pet contest will be used to support the Selma Animal Shelter and Newspapers in Education.
